Hi friends!
We have gotten a lot of questions about our Artist Services. Thank you all for your interest! Hopefully, this blog will answer some of those questions. If not, feel free to email us at services@cgsrecords.com, and we will answer you as soon as we can!
1) How does this work?
The first step is to email us at services@cgsrecords.com with a list of things that you need help with. I will answer your questions and probably have some for you in return. Once we are settled on what services we can help you with, I will send you a proposal with the cost and the estimated number of hours that it will take to get the work done. After that, I will let you know what information I need from you and get to work!
2) What is the cost?
We charge an hourly rate of $55. The estimated number of hours required for the work will be provided in the proposal. The initial emails are complementary.
3) What services do you offer?
Right now, we offer Song database management (organizing/categorizing your songs into a database that makes them easy to find and access), Metadata management (including ISRCs, UPCs, and registering with a PRO, the MLC, Sound Exchange, and any platform similar to that), Copyright registration, and DSP Communication and management.
4) What if I need help with something that isn't on the list of services?
Ask! If we can't help you, we can refer you to someone else.
5) Who owns the work?
You do! Anything that we create for you is owned by you. You are free to use it in any way that you choose.
6) How do I access the work that you do for me?
We use a platform called Airtable. You will make a free account, create a table, and share it with us. You will have full access and control over everything that is in that table. We will show you how to use/create the things that you will need on Airtable.
